Top-notch restaurant menu plugin released for WordPress
Today I’m finally releasing for wider use the premium restaurant menu plugin powering the CaféCultura theme. This plugin is an extension to my free Food and Drink Menu plugin, which is available through the WordPress repository. It is designed for restaurants, cafes, breweries and other establishments, with a set of features specially tailored for contemporary, bootique producers steeped in contemporary foodie culture.
This plugin lets you cater to customers that care about what goes in their food and where it came from. On top of that, Food and Drink Menu Pro is great for those in the food and beverage industry whose business doesn’t revolve around restaurants or cafes, such as breweries, specialty coffee distributors, local chocolatiers and more. Tag your items with discounted prices, specials and sales, as well as one-off features to make your menu a rolling marketing tool.
Food and Drink Menu Pro is flexible enough to serve up traditional menus as well as more traditional product offerings.

Food and Drink Menu Pro is built as an extension to the free Food and Drink Menu plugin. Make sure you’ve installed, activated and updated that plugin before installing the pro version.

I’m really excited to get this product out the door and see what you can do with it. It’s extraordinarily powerful and customizable, and WordPress has lacked a well-coded, extensible restaurant menu plugin that is appropriate for food establishments.
In the coming weeks I’ll be talking more about how you can customize and extend the plugin with templates, styles and WordPress hooks. I’ll also be working on providing more default custom styles for all of you who don’t know your HTML from your PHP. These will be unique layouts and designs that you can select through a simple drop-down menu.
